This EP is loosely inspired by the magic of misty summer nights because it's my favorite time of year, and the short songs represent how fleeting they are. While making this, I was fixated on this mental narrative in which I awake from a cold sweat on a hot summer night. Bursting through my cottage in the woods, dressed in a flowing white nightgown, I hop onto my horse and tear off into the woods. I encounter a fork in the road, one is clear, and the other is veiled in fog, and that's the route I choose to take. Galloping down a winding path through the trees I relish in a rare moment of solitude and freedom. Bathed in silver moonlight and feeling the cool wind in my hair, I stop occasionally at a pond or flower bed to reconnect with nature and reflect upon some of the things that keep my down and awake at night. As dawn begins to break, welcoming a new summer day, I come upon a little glade that had never been there before. I stop to investigate and find myself laying in the center of it, basking in the soft grass and morning dew, feeling as though I'm the only person in the whole world. As the morning's first rays of sunlight peak through the trees, causing the beads of dew on the grass to glisten, I find peace.
